Clients
You can create a client within Analytics and assign any saved item to that client. Assigning saved items to the client will allow you to create a full audit trail of research as well as easily group a set of different items together.
Creating a Client
There are three places where you can create a client
- In the Save dialog window
- Within the page you want to assign to the client by choosing Assign Client from the File menu
- In the Client Manager page (see Admin Centre section)
Creating a Client when Saving
When you choose to save something you have the ability to assign a client to it in the save window. Simply select the client you want to assign from the client drop down at the bottom of the page and it will be assigned once you save your item.
Initially you will have no clients setup and so the drop down will say 'No Client'. To create a new client simply click on 'New' which will open a pop-up window where you can enter the client details.
You must enter a first name and second name for your client but all other details are optional. You can also enter notes about your client in the 'Notes' text box. Once you have finished entering the client details, click 'Save' to complete the client setup.
Your client name will now appear in the client drop down in the save window.
Once you have saved your item the client details will appear in the centre of the page.
Creating a Client From the Page
You can also quickly assign a client by selecting Assign Client from the File menu.
If you have an existing client, you can select one from the drop down.
To create a new client click on the 'New' button which will open a pop-up window where you can enter the client details.
When you have chosen your client click the 'Assign' button to assign the active list, table, chart, etc to that client.
Please note you must save your item once you have assigned your client.
Editing a Client
When you have saved a client to your saved item you can edit the client details by clicking on the client name. This will open a pop-up window where you can edit the client details.
Click the save button and the changes to your client will be updated.
Removing a Client
To remove a client simply select the 'No Client' option in the save window and re-save. This will disassociate the saved item from your client.
You can make bulk actions in Housekeeping to assign or dissasociate saved items from a client.
