Movements

We have added a market movements section (otherwise known as Whethervane) to Analytics.

The Movements area is found under the "Report" tab as shown below.

 

Here you run reports like:

• Stocks most bought
• Stocks most sold
• Stocks most held
• Funds most attracting money
• Funds most shedding money
• Funds with most Top 10 change

 

Note: This currently only works on UK Unit Trusts and OEICs

Simply select the sector that you want to run your report on, select the time period, select what type of report you want to run and click the "Go" button.

Stocks Most Bought

Here we list the Top 20 stocks bought within your selected time period based on Top 10 holdings

The chart is a relative chart in order to show the bought ratio relevance to each other.

This means that the number one most bought stock will always be 100% and the others are show in relativity to that.

 

Note: Sometimes (in small sectors for example) it is possible to have more than one stock equal the same percentage.

To create a PDF of the report, click on the generate portrait PDF or generate landscape PDF icon. This will generate a PDF copy of the report which can be saved and/or printed.

Stocks Most Sold

Here we list the Top 20 stocks sold within your selected time period based on Top 10 holdings.

The chart is a relative chart in order to show the bought ratio relevance to each other.

This means that the number one most sold stock will always be -100% and the others are show in relativity to that.

 

Note: Sometimes (in small sectors for example) it is possible to have more than one stock equal the same percentage.

To create a PDF of the report, click on the generate portrait PDF or generate landscape PDF icon. This will generate a PDF copy of the report which can be saved and/or printed.

Stocks Most Held

This report will show what percentage of each stock is held in the funds within that sectors Top 10.

 

To create a PDF of the report, click on the generate portrait PDF or generate landscape PDF icon. This will generate a PDF copy of the report which can be saved and/or printed.

Funds Most Attracting Money

This report will show the difference in fund size over your selected period by using the formula:

Fund size now minus previous fund size minus the underlying approx in/out flows = Performance effect on size.

Funds Most Shedding Money

This report will show the difference in fund size over your selected period by using the formula:

Fund size now minus previous fund size minus the underlying approx in/out flows = Performance effect on size.

Funds With Most Top 10 Changes

This report shows the magnitude of Top 10 change over your selected time period

The magnitude is broken down as:

• Extensive
• Moderate
• Minor
• Minimal

 

To create a PDF of the report, click on the generate portrait PDF or generate landscape PDF icon. This will generate a PDF copy of the report which can be saved and/or printed.

You can click on the "View Changes" button to bring up a pop-up of the Top 10 now and the previous Top 10.

In the example below, you can see that it has had extensive changes due to 7 new entries in the Top 10
