Saving

Everything that you save in Analytics (whether it is a chart, table, portfolio, etc) is saved on our servers under your login name and not the local machine that you are using. This means that no matter what PC you use anywhere in the world, you will always access your saved data.

Functions available whilst saving:

  • Change or browse the folder your items are saved in to.
  • Adding an existing or new client to a saved item.
  • Setting the access permissions as follows:
    • Private - it will only appear in your login. No-one else in your group will be able to see it or open it.
    • Public Read Only - all users in your group will be able to open the item but only you can edit, re-save or delete it. Read Only items will display the icon next to them in your saved list.
    • Public Full Access - all users in your group will be able to open the item and anyone can edit or re-save it. Full Access items will display the icon next to them in your saved lis
  • Setting an instrument as a favourite allowing easier tracking of files.
  • Ability to add notes against a saved item. This can be used to advise others what to use it for when set to public access.

Toolbar

The toolbar allows a user to quickly select main actions such as save, open, filter, etc. The toolbar will be automatically set to the most commonly used actions but can be changed to suit the users needs.

To change your defaults, double-click anywhere on the toolbar and it will open your edit screen.  Simply use the left/right arrows to swap the functions available in the page on the left-hand side and the quick link functions on the right-hand side. Use the up/down arrows to change the order and once you've finished click the Update button and any functions in the right-hand side list will become quick links!
